In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Ann Tidwell and her family along with local residents came together to restore the historic Echo Building built in 1903 to house the Echo Sea Coast Newspaper. They worked tirelessly to reclaim original beaded boards and expose massive wooden beams to preserve a bygone era of rustic charm.
Created with true grit and love for Bay St Louis; 200 North Beach was the first restaurant to open in September of 2011 on the scenic byway and remains a local and out of town visitor favorite for fresh Gulf seafood, steaks and home-style dishes served with warm Southern hospitality.

Looking for something different and found this great place. The food was fantastic and the place was awesome. The history of the building was a surprise as it housed the Sea Coast Echo many years ago! One of the many newspapers across our great state! If you are ever in the area I highly recommend to give this place a try! The trout was delicious (and totally outside my norm).
Come visit our ultra bar with large screen TV's for super comfortable lounging over looking Bay St Louis and have an ice cold beer, glass of wine or a cocktail with an appetizer.
